[ G ] GAMMA SINGLES ROSTER
AKANE TENDO
The sister of the current head of Ultra, Nabiki, and the fiance to Ranma Saotome, Akane entered the federation as a surprise, upsetting the then-Hardcore champion Marlo Semaj and taking his title. After losing it again, she formed a tag team with Ranma, who was in a rut at the time. The two of them became co-Gamma champions for a time, but Ranma eventually dissolved the team after they lost the title. Not to be daunted, Akane adopted the identity of "Roxy" and trained under Ken Masters in an effort to finally prove herself on her own merits and escape her fiance's shadow. Her ruse was revealed at Ultrarage THETA, but not before she accomplished her goals.

ASH KETCHUM
Ash Ketchum has been in Ultra from the very beginning. He originally joined side by side with his beloved Pikachu in the Lambda division. When he and Pikachu split, he formed another tag team with Misty. Ash and Misty fought together for a long while - yet over time, Ash became more and more obsessed with the idea of fighting fair, to the point where he would be terribly brutal against teams which he thought (often wrongly) were "cheaters". Influence from the Orochi-infested Voiduck only aggravated his condition.

A rival of his, Gary, entered the federation to chide him, and this angered him to the point where he broke up his tag team with Misty in order to chase after Gary alone.

Recent Activities:

  • #70: Tried to interfere in a Team Clow/Gary Oak & Misty match but was stopped by Team Rocket.
  • #71: Defeated Misty in a Gamma match by countout.

BEAN BANDIT - Roadbusters
Roadbuster Bean Bandit, the terror of the streets of Chicago, joined Ultra during its first PPV as a tag team with Tifa Lockheart, after the two of them failed to win an entrance tournament. Over time, the two have proved to be loyal friends to each other, and have gotten closer over time. After a while, Bean started moving out into the Hardcore division, eventually winning the title at UltraRage THETA. At that same PPV, he also acquired a strange Jyusenkyo curse - whenever soaked with cold water, he became fascinated with shiny objects.

BULLETA B. HOOD

THE GREAT YAGA
A former wrestling champion looking to regain his glory days by any means necessary, Yaga was a staple on NeoFighters before that spinoff's demise. Taking advantage of his advantageous contract, he forced his way onto the Ultra roster and started to gather a coalition of fighters who resent the way "children" have "stolen" the Ultra spotlight. His contract gave him the right to book one fight per show, and he often used that to his allies' ends. At Ultrarage THETA, his loss to Li Ping nullified that contract clause, but ironically he found himself serving as booker for the entire organization following Jack's injury.

HAOHMARU - Team Enlightenment
Haohmaru was transported from history's past by Kasumi, and given the one-sided sword of Kenshin Himura so that he could fight without being dangerous. He soon paired up with an admiring student, Tatewaki Kunou, and formed a Lambda team. The two of them slowly became corrupted over time, eventually becoming the worst pair of cheaters you ever saw fight. It won them the Lambda title, too. After losing both the title and his student at UltraRage Eta, Haohmaru drifted into Yaga's coalition, partnering with Morrigan in a new tag team.

The wimpier half of Team Rocket, a well established tag team in Ultra. Entering the federation under the wing of Controversial Jack's "Sex and Violence", they were later kicked out, moving to working for Nabiki instead. After Nabiki kicked them out, they moved back to Jack's new stable, "CHAOS". In between they went from cowardly heels to cowardly but popular faces, winning the Lambda title along the way.

Once in the ring, though, Lei found he was enjoying pitting his technique and skill in a myriad of kung fu styles against the Ultra competitors. Marlo joined Ultra as the champion of Hell, and from then on was a tool of the corrupt Ultra administration, both for Jack and Nabiki. An ordinary boy with the special ability to fight with whatever he can pull out of FurnitureSpace, his obnoxious trash talking has earned him enemies left and right in the Hardcore division - though he has usually pulled through. He recently got into a big fix - having fallen into a cursed pool at Jyusenkyo that caused him to turn into a blonde girl at the touch of cold water. He has also teamed up in the ring with Gary Oak, whose attitudes toward fighting and trash-talking he shares.

MR. SATAN
Mr. Satan originally began as "Earth's Greatest Hero", despite not having the necessary power to back the claim up. He found himself a serious underdog in the Omega division for a while, and managed to win through sheer luck. Controversial Jack exposed him as a fraud soon after, and he joined the Gamma division to prove himself and regain his honor. He made a fair accounting of himself until a one-sided match against Sagat resulted in a vicious beating; he retired from Ultra to recover and train. Having done so, he made his comeback with the help of the Great Yaga... a little wiser, and a lot more bitter.

RANMA SAOTOME
Ranma has had a long history in Ultra. He began as the original title holder in Gamma. After losing it, regaining it took him down a long road of various psychological problems - he became callous and aggressive, then too mild and ineffectual, and then gained a split personality with his female side. After finally shucking off his ills, he formed a tag team with his fiance Akane - a move which finally regained him the Gamma belt, albeit co-holding it with her. During her stay, she also has managed to work though a long chain of relationships - Ryu, Gambit, David, Shingo, and even (ahem) Morrigan. She purchased fourty-nine percent of Ultra from Nabiki at one point - seeming at first to attempt to prevent M. Dark Schneider, a powerful magician from a faraway fantasy kingdom, joined the "Unlimited Desire" stable to fight the Orochi. After the Orochi's defeat, he spent most of his career working closely with Nabiki Tendo, who assured him good matches and a favorable place in the Omega division. Dan Hibiki interrupted that privelige, however, when he won the Omega title, and Dark Schneider spent a good deal of time trying to gain it back. Afterwards, he drifted for some time, becoming briefly involved with Bison, and taking Yuffie Kisaragi under his wing.

One of the pilots of those powerful mecha known as Gundam, Duo joined Ultra during a time when Bison was vying for control of the federation. Disliking dictators and also wishing to test his strength against other competitors, Duo struck a deal with Daisuke to help the cause against Bison in exchange for a slot in Omega. Since Bison's fall, he's begun to have problems with B-ko Daitokuji, who's taken an interest in his Gundam's technology.

Lina has been with Ultra since the beginning, and has had a decent career in the Omega division. She fought the Orochi strongly during his reign of terror in early Ultra, got killed and resurrected, became God for a time and found it burdensome, and returned to being an ordinary Omega competitor afterwards. SEPHIROTH
Sephiroth has often tried to gain godlike power in his time at Ultra, but always seemed to be second fiddle to the federation's true threat. At one point, he picked up a girlfriend of sorts in the admiring B-Ko Daitokuji. He was possessed by Orochi power just before UltraRage THETA, subverting his goals, and began to take an interest in Mary. Confused between the twin goals of taking her power and merely destroying her, and beginning to chafe in his relations with M.Bison..

WASHUU
Washuu, the universe's greatest scientist, fought in Ultra from the very beginning, and formed the stable "Cybergrrlz" along with Gally, collecting other members such as Ifurita, Mega Man, and Nuku-Nuku. The Cybergrrlz found themselves often fighting against Shadoloo. During the incident where the trappings of the Godhead were removed, she was assigned to take care of Mary, the human realization of the Godhead. Given the responsibility of Mary, she left Ultra to raise her as a full-time mother; until the threats resulting from Mary showing her true nature forced her to re-register in order to protect her.

[ D ]OTHER FIGURES
CONTROVERSIAL JACK
Controversial Jack has done many things, all for the sake of getting in charge of Ultra so that he could work his own special magic of Ultra booking. He's purchased Hell and used it as leverage, gained a portion of the Godhood, and formed his own rebel group of fighters against Nabiki Tendo. At UltraRage Zeta, he managed to become a booker under Nabiki's employ - just in time to see the federation be threatened by M. Bison. More recently, feeling the need to get back in touch with his controversialness, Jack feigned brain damage and went "on leave" from his booking job.
DAISUKE
Daisuke has been a steady, measured commentator in Ultra since its opening, and been only slightly distracted by such things as being killed and coming back as a clone (he dyes his hair, unlike Hiroshi), being stalked by Shermie or secretly joining the resistance unit "CHAOS". After CHAOS dissolved, he began to assume some administrative power with Ultra - pulling strings to get Duo Maxwell into the federation, and managing Team Rocket. More recently, it seems that constant exposure to and jealousy of Hiroshi might have finally caught up with him...
HIROSHI
The energetic and unglued commentator of Ultra has had a busy career - dying and becoming a clone, becoming Cyber-Hiroshi, discovering his AT field powers, getting into a love triangle with Rei Ayanami and Lilith Aensland, and swearing to bring down Shadoloo and Bison at any cost, barring potential physical injury, that is.
IFURITA
Ifurita first entered Ultra as an Omega competitor under the secret control of M. Bison. Once she was freed of that control, she joined the "Cybergrrlz". Recently, realizing she had progressed to the point of overshadowing her Ultra competition, she retired from the roster to become a referee, replacing Goku.
KRILLIN
Ultra had many name referees in its history - Mario, Zelgadis, Goku, and Krillin, but only Krillin survived employment up until UltraRage Eta and beyond, serving as the Omega referee as he slowly phased out Goku. Though certainly a capable competitor (as he showed Tarou at one point), his nervous disposition around such powerful fighters made him a less than respected figure.
MARY THE GODHEAD
When the Godhead and all its trappings (Heaven and Hell, and other systems burdening cosmic existence) were dissolved, the Godhead itself became personified into Mary, a young girl who was then given into Washuu's care by the Metatron. An innocent and righteous girl, her powers were kept a guarded secret by Washuu until she was finally found out by an Orochi-fied Sephiroth. Having failed to usurp her power, Sephiroth elected for "the next best thing" -- to become her trusted confidant and lieutenant. However, at Ultrarage THETA, Mary sealed away her powers, becoming an (almost) ordinary girl... and Ultra's newest referee.
NABIKI TENDO
Nabiki Tendo took over Ultra with her own money after Controversial Jack nearly ran the federation into the ground. She put the federation on a strict leash, only letting those she favored win titles and stacking the deck against anyone else - for the sake of keeping the federation profitable, even if it skewed the sportsmanlike aspects of it. After a while, she began getting unwelcome attention both from legal regulators and from Shadoloo.
NUKU-NUKU
Nuku-Nuku began as Jack's secretary when he was running Ultra. After being freed from her job by Nabiki, she joined the Omega division and the "Cybergrrlz", where she floundered at first but eventually found her place. She was sent off on a PR tour around the world at one point, a job she took well to. She was so successful at it that Nabiki eventually removed her from the roster, making PR her permanent job.
PANTYHOSE TAROU
Tarou, Ultra's third commentator, made an early and irritating appearance in Ultra's early days, before disappearing for a while and showing up again as Nabiki's right hand man. He often terrorized Hiroshi at the commentator's desk, replacing Daisuke for a while, and made sure that Hiroshi's comments were approved by the head. Things chafed a while, and Ultra settled on a three-commentator setup. Tarou spent most of his career untouched for all his obnoxiousness; up until the point where, disrespecting Krillin and his cowardly Omega refereeing, he was then beat down severly in a challenge match afterwards.

He lost a great deal of respect from others because of it, and when released from hospital, realized what a threat Bison had become to Ultra. He elected to leave his post as bodyguard to train and get stronger, leaving the role in the hands of others. When he returned, he was hired as Nabiki's administrative assistant. Unbeknownst to her, he was also fighting in the Omega division using his newfound power as Ultraman.

[ C ] RETIRED
KARIN KANZUKI
Karin Kanzuki, the wealthy daughter of the Kanzuki Zaibatsu, first showed in Ultra as part of an entrance tournament during Ultra's first PPV. She later became known as Shingo's unofficial girlfriend, a fact she at first did not want to admit. She eventually joined Ultra as an official competitor - and in the process, renewed her rivalry with Sakura. In doing so, she attracted the attention of the succubus Morrigan, who was formerly interested in Sakura but changed her mind. Her Ultra career came to an end when she discovered that M. Bison had been diverting the Kanzuki Zaibatsu's Ultra funding and departed to seek revenge.

KUNOU TATEWAKI - The Samurai
Kunou started out as an average competitor in the Gamma division. When Haohmaru joined, he discovered a valuable teacher; he later joined his teacher as a Lambda team, and from there began the long slide into shameless rule-breaking. But he never became very popular, and after he lost his title at UltraRage Eta, Nabiki, needing to "trim the fat" to get Ultra's finances back in shape, canned him.

Recent Activities:

  • #62: Defeated Team Rocket and Wolverine/Gambit in a three-way Lambda match, coming away with the Lambda title once again.

  • #72: ULTRARAGE ETA: Final Match: Lost to Gary & Marlo in a Lambda match, losing the title.
LILITH AENSLAND
Lilith began as the tag team partner of Morrigan, which was the beginning of a long and complex history. She joined Morrigan under the banner of "Sex and Violence" - then discovered the joys of the Hardcore division, winning the title twice. During that time, Yohko Mano placed a ward on her, changing her to the side of good. Also during that time, she became romantically involved with Hiroshi, and then involved in a love triangle with Rei Ayanami. She eventually reverted back to her evil self, ruining her chances for romance - though it didn't stop her from trying. After a while, Hiroshi directed her in Evil Hiroshi's direction instead. In pursuing the ill-fated romance, she drifted away from Ultra and was finally cut by Nabiki at UltraRage Eta.

Recent Activities:

  • #56: Defeated Sakura Kusagano and Wolverine, in a special Lambda match with Morrigan Aensland.
  • #72: ULTRARAGE ETA: Fired from Ultra.
SHAMPOO - Jyusenkyo Survivors
Shampoo has suffered as the tag team partner of Mousse in the Lambda divison ever since Ultra was initiated. The two spent much time on the treadmill, often coming close to being removed from the federation - until Mousse expanded into the Hardcore division and started getting success. The success rubbed off on their Lambda performance, as well, but it wasn't enough to save Shampoo when Ultra's budget problems dictated that cuts be made.

Recent Activities:

  • #64: Lost to The Samurai in a Lambda match, along with Tasuki
  • #66: Lost to Roadbusters in a Lambda match.
  • #68: Defeated Sakura Kusagano and Shingo Yabuki in a Lambda match.
  • #72: ULTRARAGE ETA: Fired from Ultra.
ASUKA LANGLEY (Eva-02)
Asuka's career has been a troubled one. With a poor fighting career that eventually left her morose and unstable, she fell into the clutches of Hell and became one of their warriors, in the process becoming merged with her EVA unit. When the great Heaven and Hell conflict ended, she was found by the "Cybergrrlz", and spent a great deal of time in a withdrawn semi-coma. She eventually snapped free from it, and chose to fight Shadowlaw, freeing Rei Ayanami from his clutches. Following Bison's defeat, she retired from Ultra.

Recent Activities:

  • #63: Drew with Sephiroth/B-Ko Daitokuji/Rei Ayanami in a match-became-battle, along with Shinji Ikari/Duo Maxwell.

  • #68: Lost to Shockwave Alberto.
  • #72: ULTRARAGE ETA: Retired from Ultra.
REI AYANAMI (Eva-00)
Rei Ayanami worked for Gendo and NERV, and then ShadowNERV, and then Shadoloo under M. Bison, at no point ever questioning her role as a taker of orders - despite the leaving of her teammates Shinji Ikari and Asuka Langley. She got into a love triangle with Hiroshi (who, being a clone himself, was interested in her) and Lilith, and won out over the succubus in the end. However, M. Bison's influence kept her away from Hiroshi for a long time, and she also had to deal with Evil Hiroshi as a replacement boyfriend. She was eventually freed, and placed under Washuu's care to recover. After Bison's fall, she retired from Ultra and destroyed Eva-00, opting to pursue a career in show business instead.

Recent Activities:

  • #61: Lost to Voiduck.
  • #63: Drew with Shinji Ikari/Asuka Langley/Duo Maxwell in a match-became-battle, along with Sephiroth/B-Ko Daitokuji.

  • #72: ULTRARAGE ETA: Retired from Ultra.
  • #73: Eva-00 is destroyed.
VOIDUCK
Voiduck was formerly the Orochi, a being of pure hate that came very close to destroying the world at an Ultra PPV. During the events, he was forced out of the body of David, his current host, and into the body of Misty's pokemon, Psyduck. Since then, he has not had much to do other than corrupt Team Pokemon. Sephiroth took his share of Orochi power just before UltraRage THETA - crippling the evil pokemon's power and weakening the hold that Orochi had on his mind. Soon after, a deceased Mewtwo melded his mind with the duck, confusing things further. After Bison's defeat, with the old Orochi all but dispersed, he left Ultra along with Misty.

Recent Activities:

  • #61: Defeated Rei Ayanami.
  • #62: Lost to Dan Hibiki in a three way dance.
  • #68: Melded with Mewtwo.
  • #72: ULTRARAGE ETA: Retired from Ultra.
M. BISON
M. Bison took an interest in Ultra since nearly its beginning, often taking over the minds of various fighters or creating genetic concoctions, and introducing them in as his toys. Later, he became interested in gaining the whole federation itself, and tried various methods of getting Ultra CEO Nabiki Tendo to sign it. But he made many enemies along the way, and eventually, at UltraRage Eta, lost not only his bid for Ultra but also his criminal empire and his freedom when those enemies teamed up to defeat him.
IORI YAGAMI
A lone fighter throughout his Ultra career, this madman had a number of successes, including two Gamma title reigns and a Hardcore reign. At one point, his flames no longer were cursed by the Orochi taint, becoming normal chi flames instead. He also at one point had a "girlfriend" in Yohko Mano, whom he viciously turned on without warning later on. Bitter at what he saw as being neglected in favor of newer competitors, Iori convincingly crushed his old rival Ranma and then walked out, leaving Ultra behind for good.

  • #79: Final match: Defeated Ranma Saotome and quit Ultra.
VEGA
A high-ranking member of Bison's Shadoloo forces, the handsome Spanish pitfighter joined Ultra in order to fill an empty space in the tag team Bison's Busters. Since Bison's fall, the beautiful sadist had become a force of his own, successfully making a mark in the Hardcore arena. However, his instability soon cost him first the Hardcore title and then his spot on the Ultra roster, when he foolishly attacked Nabiki.
